This first course in the Preceptor Development Continuing Education series entitled "Principles of learning Design" covers how to create a learning experience using contemporary best practices in educational design. Your course facilitator for "Principles of Learning Design" is Dr. Victoria Williams, PharmD.

After completing this module, the participant should be able to:

  1. Differentiate between learning goals and learning objectives.
  2. Analyze the role of Bloom's Taxonomy in learning objective formulation and learning design.
  3. Explain the "backward design process", its phases, and the concept of alignment.
